The work proposes a network of tourist experiences based on the development of landscape interpretation strategies for the Choapa Province, accordingly to the following themes: the geological landscape (Salamanca), the mining landscape (Illapel), the rural landscape (Canela), and the coastal landscape (Los Vilos).
Thus, the proposal seeks to highlight the value and scope of landscape architecture in the development of experiential tourism, given that this discipline provides a multi-scale, multifaceted and dynamic approach, based on an informed understanding of the conditions and potential of the place and its social, political, economic, cultural, and ecological context. This framework not only allows for the development of an innovative, sophisticated and quality tourism offer, but also provides a model for the conservation, enhancement and management of cultural assets, generating new opportunities for local and regional sustainable development.
